Tangkuban Perahu - Happy Ending

Once upon a time, there was a story about a girl in West Java named Dayang Sumbi who had a child named Sangkuriang, one day Sangkuriang went hunting accompanied by a dog named Tumang, but Sangkuriang did not know that the dog was the incarnation of a god as well as his father.

While hunting, Sangkuriang met a deer, Sangkuriang remembered that his mother was very happy with deer. Finally Sangkuriang ordered Tumang to chase the deer, but Tumang lost track of him and Sangkuriang became angry because Sangkuriang wanted to give a deer heart to his mother so Sangkuriang killed Tumang to take it and then he went home.

When he got home, Sangkuriang gave the heart he got from hunting to his mother to be cooked. That's when Dayang Sumbi remembered Tumang and asked Sangkuriang, Sangkuriang answered with a scared face "Tumang is dead". Dayang Sumbi was angry and hit Sangkuriang on the head with a spoon of rice and threw him out of the house.

After that incident, Dayang Sumbi deeply regretted it, she always prayed and was very diligent in meditating until one day the gods gave Dayang Sumbi a gift of eternal beauty and never old. After being expelled, Sangkuriang wandered to various places, finally when he was an adult Sangkuriang returned to Dayang Sumbi's place, only then did the two people meet.

Sangkuriang, who initially did not know that it was his own mother, finally fell in love with Dayang Sumbi, Sangkuriang proposed to Dayang Sumbi and was accepted by Dayang Sumbi. When with Dayang Sumbi saw the scar on Sangkuriang's head and asked Sangkuriang, Sangkuriang answered "This is the scar from being hit with a rice spoon by my mother." After hearing this, Dayang Sumbi was surprised and told Sangkuriang that she was his mother. Sangkuriang who heard it was surprised and apologized to his mother for all the behavior he had done.

Finally they live happily together as mother and child who miss each other because they are separated for years.
